The most fun part to watch was the run out just before the race. This is the last bit of warmups before the race starts. Seven of Ronning’s teammates showed up to do their customary pep talk before the start of the race. They huddled with Ronning 50 yards from the start so she would not be alone at the most important race of the season. The smile on Ronning’s face says how much she appreciated them being there and if you look in the background, there is a proud coach soaking it all in.
