Late in the game against Miesville, Jason Greeder and Blake Werner combined for a quick double play. Max Gamm hit a shallow pop fly behind Greeder at second base. Eddie Peine was on first and took off like he thought the ball was going to drop in no-mans land. Greeder made an exceptional catch and throw to Warner at first for this close double play.

Hastings 9AA took their second tournament of the season. They kicked off the weekend beating Eagan 14-5 followed by a 12-0 trouncing over Lake Elmo. They completed pool play by dismantling Lakeville South 24-8. In the championship bracket, they met Lakeville South again and squeaked out a 9-8 victory.
