Including the planned retirement of Coach John Dewall, the Raiders have been cycling through a number of coaches in the last year and a half. Hastings has seen new coaches hired for Boys Tennis, Boys Hockey, Girls Soccer, Girls Basketball, Baseball, and Cross Country. With the Nordic Ski season over and long-term coach Dewall retiring, that spot will open as will his coaching spot on the Track team after the spring.
That is a lot of changes happening for Raider athletics, and now, Volleyball is added to the mix. Head Coach Anne Korenchen has stepped down after two years in the head coach position. She had previously been an assistant in the program. In her two years as head coach, the Raiders were 3-28-0.
Hastings is also looking for an assistant Volleyball Coach and an assistant Cross-Country Coach. If you are interested in applying, visit www.hastingsk12. mn.us/employment.
