John, A very nice job on the story about the postal dilemma that we are all facing today. All is forgiven about the
"lion's share" comment. You've done your research and correctly identified process that the mail flows through the
system. I am sorry to hear about the elimination of the afternoon pick up. You are right and we will all see the
delay that it causes. Add to that a shortage in the work force due to the inability to both hire and keep workers, the
problem only compounds. Your newspaper bundle drops do speed up the process, but individually mailed issues
are at the mercy of the system. In my time. papers were handled like priority mail, even though they paid a
cheaper rate. PS. I pulled jury duty 4, times.
