PATRIOTS PODIUM AT STATE!

RAIDERS QUALIFY FOR NATIONALS IN THEIR SECOND SEASON. PATRIOTS QUALIFY…AGAIN.

The Hastings High School (HHS) Raiders and St. Elisabeth Ann Seton (SEAS) Patriots Archery Teams competed in the 2026 Minnesota NASP State Championship – Bullseye and 3D Tournaments on March 27th-28th. These tournaments are part of National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) program and are the NASP National Qualifiers.
Note on Nationals Qualifying: The top 10 individual archers—male and female—in the three divisions (High School, Middle School, and Elementary) are guaranteed flights to Nationals. Teams select flights by tier until the tournament is filled, with the winning team in each division receiving Tier 1, followed by progressively lower tiers down to a minimum qualifying score.
The HHS Raiders archery team earned a score of 1591 out of 1800 at the 3D Minnesota State Championship, meeting the Tier 3 threshold (out of four) for Nationals qualification. The Raiders then went on to break the school record in Bullseye, posting a National-qualifying score of 3173 out of 3600. It is exciting that the HHS Raiders archery team, in its second year, has qualified for Nationals in both disciplines both years!
For the third year in a row, the SEAS Patriots posted national qualifying team scores in both Bullseye and 3D!
The Patriots 3D team placed 8th out of 27 teams, breaking the school’s scoring record with a 1584 out of 1800, which is a Tier 3 out of 4 National qualifying score. Wyatt Shaleen (fifth grade) made the podium with a 4th-place finish in Elementary Boys, earning a guaranteed spot at Nationals. Blake Akre (fifth grade) placed 6th in the state for Elementary Girls and earned a National guarantee.
The Patriots Bullseye team placed 12th out of 38 teams statewide, breaking the school’s scoring record with a 3164 out of 3600, which is a Tier 4 out of 6 National qualifying score. Blake Akre (fifth grade) made the podium with a 4th-place finish in Elementary Girls, earning a guaranteed spot at Nationals. Wyatt Shaleen (fifth grade), who shot a perfect 50 round in the tournament, placed 6th in Elementary Boys and earned a National guarantee.
The Raiders and Patriots have secured flights in both NASP Bullseye and NASP 3D at the Eastern Nationals in Louisville, Kentucky, and will be competing May 7th–9th. While there, they will also take part in the 2026 IBO Genesis Indoor World Championship and the 2026 Centershot Eastern Nationals Bullseye and 3D tournaments. With five competitions ahead, the archers are back in action at postseason practices to prepare for competition!
