The Hastings Gymnastics team is back in their home, the National Guard Armory in Hastings, and they celebrated the return with a win over North St. Paul on Dec. 8 by a score of 115.550 to 104.300.
Leading the way for Hastings was Taylor Debettignies, who won the all-around competition with a score of 28.950. She won the vault with a score of 8.325 and floor with an 8.150. Debettignies placed fourth on bars with a 6.775 and seventh on beam with a 5.700.
Ava Mamer won the Bars with a 7.550 which was her only event, and Nicole Mc-Graw took the win on the beam with a score of 7.325, also her only event.
Taking third overall was Elsie Bauer with a 27.950. Bauer took fourth on the vault with a 7.9, fifth on bars at 6.475, fifth on beam with a 6.350 and fourth on floor with a 7.225 Haley Herman placed seventh overall with a 21.800. Herman took fifth on vault with a score of 7.900, third on bars with a 6.800, second on beam with a 7.100 and did not participate in a floor routine.
Sydney Hosler placed eighth overall with a score of 21.600. Hosler took second on the vault with a 8.150, second on bars with a 7.225, did not participate on beam and placed eighth on floor with a 6.225.
The girls will travel to Mahtomedi on Wed, Dec. 14 for a dual against the Zephyrs, then they return home on Dec. 22 to take on Tartan for Parent’s Night. Both are 6:00 p.m. starts.
