The Raider Boys Wrestling team started their season with a pair of dual wins and a huge invite win at Coon Rapids. The team traveled to Park of Cottage Grove for a triangular on Dec. 6 where they faced Section 3AAA opponent Park and a very tough Ellsworth, Wisconsin team.
Triangulars are actually separated into three different dual meets. In this case, Hastings versus Ellsworth, Park versus Ellsworth, then Hastings versus Park. Hastings defeated Ellsworth 59-12, then Park took down Ellsworth 40-28 and Hastings defeated Park 45-28. At the invite, the Raiders took first place with 177 team points. The team invitational wins and losses do not count towards team’s regular season records.
The individual scores for the triangular were not available at press time.
