The Hastings High School (HHS) Raiders and St. Elisabeth Ann Seton (SEAS) Patriots Archery Teams traveled to Foley High School to compete in the Foley Falcons Bullseye Nocked & Loaded Invitational and the Foley Falcons 3D Nocked & Loaded Invitational. These tournaments are part of the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) and the International Bow Hunting Organization IBO/NASP 3D programs.
Over the weekend, the Raiders saw three more students earn their letters in archery. Congratulations to Lillie Shaleen, Benjamin Stanton, and Thomas Noonan! The team continues to improve week by week, with many archers hitting personal bests in both Bullseye and IBO/3D.
SEAS demonstrated their skill at Falconry, with two archers making podium appearances at the Foley Falcon’s tournament. Esme Renneke, an eighth grader, earned third place in Bullseye with a score of 274, while Leo Sellars, a seventh grader, took fourth place with a score of 275. The SEAS IBO/3D team also saw numerous personal bests in their second 3D competition!
Next, the Raiders and Patriots will compete in Bullseye at the 2025 New Prague NASP Open Tournament at the New Prague High School on Feb. 1. The New Prague Archery Team will also be hosting their traditional Dad’s Belgium Waffle Breakfast fundraiser from 9am to 12:30pm.
The NASP Archery season runs through the final weekend of March, culminating in the Minnesota State NASP Bullseye & NASP/IBO 3D Tournaments in St. Cloud. The season may extend into May if teams or individuals qualify at the MN State Tournament for the Nationals in Louisville, Kentucky, and into June if they qualify at Nationals for the Worlds tournament, which will be held in North Carolina this year.
