Notice is hereby given that Dakota County will receive single prime sealed bids for the “FLC & LEC Administration Section Roof Replacements” project until 2:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at the office of Facilities Management (Suite #2500), Administration Center, 1590 Highway 55, Hastings, MN, 55033, at which time bids will be opened and read aloud.

A Pre-bid meeting will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Farmington Library in Farmington, MN. Representatives of the Owner and Design Consultant will be present. The site address is 508 3rd Street, Farmington, MN

55024. The meeting is not mandatory but is the opportunity to see the current conditions and may aid in bidder’s understanding of the project. After conducting the meeting and touring Farmington Library (FLC), the project team will then travel to the Law Enforcement Center (LEC) in Hastings to tour that roof. The address for the LEC is on the bid documents. The deadline for bidder questions is March 21, 2024 at noon.

Bidding documents including the bid form, drawings and specifications can be obtained from Franz Reprographics and will be available on or after March 8, 2024. This project seeks to replace the roof at the Farmington Library and also at the administrative section of the Law Enforcement

Center. There are no alternates for this bid opportunity and both roofs are planned for replacement. Roof drain replacements and other ancillary work are included within the scope of this roof replacement project.

Bids must be submitted only on the bid form supplied in this RFB document. No oral, telegraphic or telephonic bids or

modifications will be considered. Submit with each bid a certified check or acceptable bidder’s bond payable to Dakota County in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total base bid. The successful bidder is required to furnish satisfactory Labor and Material Payment Bond and Performance Bond equal to 100% of the total contract amount.

Bids may not be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the opening bids. It is anticipated that the Dakota County Board of

Commissioners will consider award of the project on May 7, 2024 at its regular meeting, and reserves the right to accept any bid or to reject any or all bids, or parts of such bids, and waive informalities or irregularities in bidding. The estimated

construction cost is approximately $1,175,000.
