Behind the School House square at the corner of 10th Street East and Vermillion, the lot has sat empty long enough. The Quill, a 90-unit Senior Housing complex, is being built by Developer Real Estate Equities.
The project, backed by a 13.8-million-dollar loan from the Dakota County Community Development Agency is expected to be completed by fall of 2022.
The bond issue was reviewed and approved by the Dakota County Community Development Agency utilizing multifamily housing revenue bonds.
The project is designed for occupancy by “low and moderate income seniors,” according to documentation by the Community Development Agency. The developer is St. Paul-based Real Estate Equities, Its website states The Quill will feature one and two-bedroom units, a clubhouse, crafts room, fitness center and a rooftop deck.
