To the editor:
In reading the Hastings paper, I was surprised to read that the School Board is sending the gymnastic program to Farmington which will most certainly mean the dealth of the program.
Why is this program being moved to a town miles away and offering no bus service for the athletes to get there? Parents have to work so how are these young people to get to Farmington? Why can't the middle school gym being used to keep the program in Hastings?
Per the article, the gymnastic coach brought this up and I didn't see any response from anyone on the board that responded to this point?
I wonder who on the school board hates this program so much that they would all take steps to kill the program because moving to another town miles away will certainly kill or maim the program.
