Mr. Kyle Kreuser - 6th Grade Social Studies Teacher - Hastings Middle School

Posted

Kyle Kreuser teaches social studies to our 6th grade students at Hastings Middle School. He’s been teaching for 15 years since receiving his degree from the Twin Cities campus of the University of Minnesota.

It’s no surprise that Kyle fell into teaching, as both of his parents and older brother all have made careers in public education.

“I’ve always enjoyed working with kids, and making a difference in the lives of people, and our community,” said Kreuser.

The thing Kyle enjoys most about teaching is the opportunity to teach new content, and getting kids motivated about learning. “Every day is new and challenging,” he said.

Speaking of challenging, Kyle's work is never done. “Work-life balance is not easy. Teaching goes well beyond the workday. I’m constantly planning, collaborating, and thinking of new ways to motivate and challenge students outside of school!  My work is never done.”

In addition to teaching for 15 years, Kreuser has coached seven different sports. He currently coaches middle school soccer, wrestling and traveling soccer for HFC United.

When he’s not busy motivating kids to learn, or coaching athletes, Kyle enjoys traveling, fishing, family and all things Wisconsin sports related!

We will give you a pass this time on being a Wisconsin sports fan Kyle - but it’s only because we appreciate our incredible ISD200 educators. We are grateful for all you do for our students!  #200Strong.
