At 8:33 Sunday morning, the City of Hastings were on site in the frigid cold inspecting the situation at the intersection of 15th street and Brittany Road. The intersection showed signs of a watermain break and the decision was made to call in a contractor to further inspect and repair the line. A water main did indeed break at the intersection resulting in a repair that took over eight hours to complete on one of the coldest days of the year.
Kudos to the folks that worked on a Sunday, that happened to be Valentines day and bone chilling cold to get water service restored to Hastings residents.
