Dakota County is seeking volunteer anglers to support the popular Take a Kid Fishing event on Sunday, June 7, from noon–3 p.m.
Take A Kid Fishing allows youth to enjoy a popular Minnesota pastime comfortably from the Thompson Lake’s fishing pier at Thompson County Park in West St. Paul. County staff, community partners and volunteers teach children about fishing and related topics through hands-on exhibits and activities. The event also includes door prizes, giveaways, games, art activities and food trucks. Admission is free and all ages are welcome.
A variety of volunteer opportunities are available starting at 11:30 a.m. Whether you can share fishing knowledge and passion with youth or provide other event support, there is something for everyone. To ensure a high-quality experience, pre-registration is required to volunteer.
