It was a big week for the Hastings volleyball team as the Raiders upped their overall record to 3-5 with two straight set 3-0 wins.
Hastings swept Metro East foe Simley 25-20, 25-21, 25-21 on Thursday, Sept. 12 in a road match to even its conference record to 1-1.
Haley Strain had three serve aces, while Norah Thome and Clare Reider had two each. Annabel Norquist and Allie Leflay had one each.
Rachel Notch had 25 assists to guide the Raider offense, while Strain added six and Thome had two. Thome and Norquist each had nine digs, while Notch and Strain had six and Leflay five.
The Raiders hosted Coon Rapids in a non-conference match on Monday, Sept. 9 and cruised to a 25-14, 25-19, 25-20 victory.
The Raiders host Mahtomedi in an East Metro match Thursday, Sept. 19 and neighbor Prescott in a non-conference match Tuesday, Sept. 24. They travel to Tartan Sept. 26. Matches start at 6:30 p.m.
