A driver swerved off northbound Vermillion Street before 15th Street early Wednesday afternoon, hitting a tree and a light pole. No injuries were reported. Hastings Fire Department and Public Works employees work to remove the downed light pole from the lane of traffic. A full accident report was not available at press time.
