The Arts and Culture Commission will hold tours of City Hall on Saturday, January 18. Community members are invited to visit Hastings City Hall at 101 4th St. E., Hastings, for guided tours highlighting the history, art and architecture of the building. City Hall is home to the historic Dakota County Courthouse that was designed by A.M. Radcliff, one of Minnesota’s first architects. Historical paintings and artifacts tell the story of Hastings history. Local volunteers will lead tours from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The tours are sponsored by the Arts & Culture Commission in collaboration with the Pioneer Room and the Hastings Historical Society.
The tours will coincide with the Downtown Business Association's Ice Sculpture Celebration.
Also, due to a recent vacancy, we are seeking a volunteer commissioner to join the Arts and Culture Commission. To learn more and complete an interest form, visit www.hastingsmn.gov/commissions.
