Super Bowl Champion and former Viking Matt Birk is coming to Hastings on Thursday, Sep. 16th. Birk will be the keynote speaker at the TLC Banquet at Almquist Farms at 21321 Polk Ave.
TLC of Hastings Pregnancy Resource Center is a ministry that serves the community by providing life-affirming pregnancy and parenting education and support. Through education, mentoring, and parenting classes, they offer tangible solutions supported by a community of love. Services are offered free of charge.
The banquet is the most important fundraising event of the year and supports 86% of their yearly funding. According to Andrea Kullmann, TLC Executive Director, this year’s theme, “Be a Champion For Life,” ties in well with Birk’s appearance. “Matt is a father of 8 and knows how precious each life is.”
The evening begins with social hour from 5-6, with music by Gypsy Mania and games. Dinner begins at 6:15, with the program to follow. There is no cost to attend, but reservations are required. You can register at tlcbanquet.com or by calling 651-437-4200.
Totals since TLC’s opening in 2009 are: Clients served – 1454 Client visits for services – 7561 Pregnancy tests – 679 Ultrasounds – 270 Babies born – 516 TLC receives no state or federal funding and relies on the funding generated by the banquet each year. Because of Covid, TLC did not have a banquet in 2020.
