Dean Markuson has been approved as a Thrivent Action Team Leader, to make a positive impact in our community and outside its trade area.

Everyone wants to give back, but sometimes it’s hard to know where to begin. If you’re wondering how you can make a difference, he can help you “Lead Generously, By Giving Generously, To Make a Difference, Within the Community, On the Road of Love, Unselfishly, especially during these period of the COVID-19 pandemic virus restrictions,” said Markuson.

Thrivent Action Teams are a great way to make a positive impact in the community. Markuson said he is not asking for a lot of your time, just whatever, you can afford to give.

“What are your expectations for the community service project? Expect to make a difference in the community and have a meaningful experience with fellow volunteers or those we are giving to,” he said. “I also expect to put in hard work, and I am excited to do It! I also want you to have an experience where my and your skills can help those who need it.

“Volunteerism can help you learn new skills, gain experiences, greater qualifications and references on your job resumes, for that first employment opportunity, while a student, in high school and upon graduation, in higher institutions of learning,” said Markuson. “Take on new challenges that you have never faced before. Thorough volunteering, you can try something different, achieve personal goals, practice using your skills and discover hidden talents. Have fun!”
