Thomas Furney, the son of Wilbur and Lois (Mahoney) Furney, was born on December 7, 1945, in Hastings. Regardless of you knew Tom you knew that he was a great friend, a protector, a teacher, and a great role model to many (he may not have seen it that way, but he was). He used his abilities to help build others up and was always there to help pick you up when you stumbled. His laugh and infectious smile impacted everyone around him and will never be forgotten.

Tom loved to play the game of pool and shared that love with many by teaching them his approach to the game. Tom taught many people many things in life. Mostly he taught strength and that that through perseverance you could overcome an obstacle.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents and by his siblings, Charles, Timothy, Steven and Elizabeth. Tom will be reunited with his family and friends and with his dogs that he loved so much.

Tom is survived by his: Wife, Andrea Furney, Stepdaughter, Lana Malania Calugas, Sister, C.Teresa (Furney) Felty, Brothers: John Furney, James Furney and David Furney and in the memories of the rest of the family and many friends.
