Dale Lewis installed an 11’ tall sculpture of an eagle entitled “Abe” at Shane Lanning Farmers Insurance in Hastings. “Abe” is made of stainless steel, covered with stainless steel kitchen utensils and sits on a tree trunk perch made of stainless steel flat- ware. Shane has installed flood lights so that it can be enjoyed from Hwy 55 at night. “Abe” is named after the famous eagle that was carried into battle 37 times during the Civil War by the 8th Infantry Wisconsin. The sculpture will remain there over the winter.
