Suzanne, age 67, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She grew up in St. Paul and was a proud graduate of Johnson High School. She shared 45 years with the love of her life, Peter, including 40 years of marriage. For the past five years, they made their home in Lake Chapala, Mexico, where they embraced life fully.
Suzanne enjoyed soaking up the sun in the pool, playing poker—often placing first—and listening to live music. Even while battling cancer, it never slowed her down.
She is survived by her husband, Peter La Favor; her children, Peter La Favor II (Catherine) and Lauren Taylor (Dawson); and her grandchildren, Quinn La Favor, Jasper and Baby Girl Taylor. She is also survived by her brothers, Gary, Rick, and Doug Harwell; her sister, Valerie Heckman; and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Marilyn Harwell, and her stepmother, Gloria O’Connell.
No funeral services will be held at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Suzanne was a loving and caring woman, a friend to all, and will be deeply missed.
