(HASTINGS, MN) The United Way of Hastings (UWH) welcomes Steve Glienke to the Board of Directors.
Steve is the Chief Financial Officer at Intek Plastics in Hastings and has been with the company since 2003. Prior to Intek, Steve was the Controller and Logistics Manager for Satellite Industries, Inc., and the General Manager of a local construction supply company. Steve has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of South Dakota. He has led numerous Lean Accounting workshops in the Twin Cities area.
Steve joins the UWH Board of Directors leadership as Vice President and will assume the Presidency in 2021. Steve is currently leading the finalization of UWH’s vision and strategic plan.
“Intek Plastics has been a tremendous supporter of UWH for many years and it’s exciting to have one of its leaders bring his financial and organizational experience to UWH,” said Mari E. Mellick, CAE, Executive Director. “Steve’s financial knowledge as well as experience in strategic planning will help UWH set its direction for the next 12-36 months.”
Steve lives in Eagan with his wife, Ann. The couple have two children, Zach (25) a graduate of St. John’s University and Wyatt (22), who will graduate from Iowa State University in December. Steve and his family enjoy time at the lake in the summer. He also likes to fish, hunt, and spend time in his wood shop.
The UWH is an independent United Way that has worked for over 55 years serving Hastings and the surrounding rural communities within Independent School District #200.
