On Thursday, Republican Party leaders and grassroots activists
met at a fundraiser in Cottage Grove for Republican Endorsed house candidates Tom Dippel and Grayson McNew. Dippel is running for House Seat 41B and McNew is running for House Seat 41A. They are being challenged by DFL candidates Jen Fox (41B) and Lucia Wroblewski (41A).
Those in attendance included Minnesota GOP State Executive Board Members, Chair David
Hann, RNC Committeeman Alex Plechash, Alec Beck, Tim Miller, Senator Roger Chamberlain,
and current State Reps Pam Altendorf, Walter Hudson, Senators Cal Bahr, Steve Drazkowski,
Congressional Candidate Tayler Rahm, and former Action 4 Liberty President Jake Dusenberg.
“Uniting as a party now will be crucial to our success in November,” Dippel said. “Now, we can
focus on meeting Democrats and Independent voters who are disenfranchised by the extreme
policies coming out of St. Paul.” He continued.
“We must come together to win in November.” Hann added.
In addition to party unity, both candidates raised thousands of dollars in small-dollar donations
for their campaigns.
Dippel and McNew won the endorsement of the Republican Party on March 9th. They expect to
spend the summer campaigning for the general election on Tuesday, November 5th.
“Last night showed that we are unified and ready to put our best foot forward in November. We are going to win by building coalitions, and getting more people involved in our local party.” Said McNew. “Now is the time for us to be building bridges, both in our party and in our community. Now that we have united as Republicans, I am eager to meet with members of our community and build coalitions for a better state government.”
