Sheila McMahon Meyer, age 79, passed away on May 22, 2024, in St. Paul, Minnesota. Sheila was born in St. Paul on Jan. 30, 1945. She graduated from Visitation High School and attended Saint Catherine’s College before graduating from the University of Minnesota. She earned a master’s degree in library science and subsequently held various positions, setting up and maintaining business libraries and conducting research for numerous publications, magazines, and reference books. She was then appointed Executive Director of the James J. Hill Business Library during the initial transformation to digital and computerized business information. She applied her many talents to support her husband’s engineering consulting business.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Homer and Alice Odegaard McMahon; brother, Thomas McMahon; sister-in-law, Ramona Sneider and brother-in-law, Robert Sneider; sister-in-law, Elayne Donahue; brother-in-law, Paul Marshall; and niece, Linda Reid. Sheila is survived by her husband of 54 years, Raymond N. Meyer; sister-in-law, Ethel Marshall; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m., followed by a Mass at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, July 3, at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church, River Falls, WI. Interment will be at St. Bridget’s Cemetery, River Falls, WI.
