The St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Middle School archery team had an impressive showing at the Fairbault Falon Classic on Jan. 6.
Coach Ryan Renneke said it was a tournament of firsts. It was the first tournament for fourth graders. The team had a first place finish from a middle school girl, a first place finish from an elementary boy, the first back-to-back perfect 50s for an archer in a tournament under coach Renneke and the first middle school team to break 3,000 under Renneke. The SEAS team took third overall with a score of 3,052.
Eighth grader Lillie Shaleen took first place with a score of 284, as did fifth grader Benjamin Weber. Personal best scores were earned by Josie Rondeau, William Hager, John Rother, Claire Marie Reinhards, William Noonan, William Hanson and Emelia St. Denis.
Helping the SEAS effort were Jacqueline Seefeld, Logan Luskey, Natalie Seefeld, Alice Scheel, Gabriella Seefeld, Leo Sellars, Chas Scheel, Eddie Goebel, Everett Nelson, Evelyn Noyle, Henryk Halfen, Axel Schwarz and Jace Dankers.
