On Thursday, March 31, an email was sent to the clients of Schommer Insurance informing them the agency had been sold and their new agent will be Steve Lehtola of The Lehtola Agency in Hastings. The email expressed confidence in the new ownership by founder of Schommer Insurance, Brian Schommer.

“I am confident that your insurance needs will continue to be given the necessary attention and service that you have come to expect,” it explained.

Schommer continued, “Steve has over 13 years’ experience as an independent insurance agent, is well versed with personal and commercial lines, is a 20-year Hastings resident and most important, he is a great person.”

The correspondence continued to assure clients that the only real change would be their contact for service of their insurance policies. “Your coverage will not be interrupted or affected in any way. The policies currently in force and protecting your family are exactly as they should be,” he said. Schommer concluded the email with a heartfelt thank you stating, “We built this business on relationships, and I hope that those developed over the last 12 years will continue to grow. It has been my pleasure to lead a great group of people who were dedicated to our clients. The support received from our agency partners, carriers, community and most importantly, our clients has been amazing and humbling. Thank you.”
