Schlomka’s Vac Truck service of Inver Grove Heights is partnering with the United Heroes League of Hastings to help outfit military kids with sports equipment with their new Jetter truck. Ten percent of the profits from the service calls the truck makes will be donated directly to UHL to help them in their mission.
“The idea just kind of came to me one day. I feel like United Heroes League has a pretty big presence, so I sat down with Shane and told him that I wanted to give back. I have this truck and I think it will be fun for customers when we get to the job site to see it then hear the story behind it,” explained Amber (Schlomka) Worthington, office manager.
The idea is simple: The new Jetter truck was wrapped in a military themed camo wrap with the Schlomka and UHL logo. Any service call that this truck goes on will have 10 percent of the profits given to UHL.
Worthington explained what the truck does, “Our Jetter unit is capable of everything from washing sumps, cleaning tanks, jetting lines, washing parking lots, shop trench cleaning, catch basins, culvert cleaning, pressure washing heavy equipment, hydro testing. With 80 GPM at 2500 PSI the possibilities are endless!”
They also plan on expanding this program in the next three to five years to include a liquid vac truck and a hydro vac truck wrapped so that no matter what service customers need from them, the customer has the option to request the UHL branded truck for their service call.
“I think it is easy to wrap a truck and say “hey, look at my truck!” but I wanted to do more and so I reflected on what is important to me. My country and our military is something that is hugely important to me. I am grateful to be able to partner with UHL and give back to military families.
To kick off the program, Worthington and her crew brought the newly wrapped truck out to UHL to meet the team, learn about the mission, and grab a few photos. As luck would have it, Army National Guard Drill Sergeant, Staff Sergeant (SSG) Shawna Anderson was at UHL getting some sports equipment during the visit and was able to hop in and help celebrate the initiative.
“We are so excited for this new partnership with Schlomka’s,” explained UHL President Shane Hudella. “They have been exceptional to work with, and the financial help they are providing will allow us to impact many additional military families this year with benefits. It is even more special when one of America’s finest is here and partners can see our mission firsthand.”
SSG Anderson was happy to help support United Heroes League and commented that she absolutely loved the new truck wrap!
