Sara Burr, born 4/14/22 died peacefully on March 12. Sara was the daughter of Joseph and Catherine Pilcher. She grew up in Empire Township with her sister Mary and brothers Fran, Jack, and Laurence. She married George Burr and moved to Hastings where they raised their ten children. Sara is preceded in death by her husband George, son Bernard, daughter- in-law Gloria, greatgrandchildren Ellie, Wyatt and Logan, her siblings, and many in-laws. Sara is survived by her children Gary (Jean), Gene (Judy), Dennis (Pat), Bob, David (Barb), Mike (Denise), Mary (Doug) Reisinger, Marlene, and George (Becky). Sara had 14 loving grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisterin- laws LuVerne Haberkorn, Sr. Georganne Burr OSB, brother-in-law Bill Schommer, and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 29, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 15th St. West, Hastings. Visitation at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion St., Hastings, on Monday March 28 from 4:00-7:00 PM and on Tuesday at church one hour before the Mass. Interment at SEAS Cemetery, Hastings. In lieu of flowers, please give to a charity of your choice. Sara was a devout Catholic and faithful servant to all. She will be greatly missed.
