RoseMary Harwood Plath is celebrating turning 90 with her best friend of 60+ years, Verna Fuller, outside of Mississippi Terrace. Rosie moved to Hastings at 26, back in 1957. Her and her husband, who died attempting to save his supervisor in an ammonia accident in 1966, had five kids. She misses travelling to her vacation home in Florida, but she loves to make her weekly trip to Cub for her morning coffee with friends. When the question was about to be asked, so you made it to 90… she interrupted and chuckled “I didn’t want too” and the room exploded with laughter throwing off the rest of the question. What followed was an engaging and entertaining conversation about so many random things. She even let her granddaughter dye her hair pink for her 90th. Happy Birthday Rosie! Thanks for sharing a little bit of your day with us!
