Rivertown Days 45th anniversary lineup announced

Posted

This year is the 45th anniversary of Rivertown Days, the largest festival of the year in the area, organized annually by the Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau.
There’s lot of big musical acts that will converge on downtown Hastings July 19-21.
The announcement of a premier lineup of musical acts last week was greeted with excitement from the community. Rivertown Days is a lot more than just music, though, with a carnival and family fun, events and an arts and crafts fair, culminating on Sunday with one of several Hastings Historic Car Shows downtown.
Rivertown Days features three stages in the downtown area that is always packed with attendees, especially with this year’s lineup.
Touted as “One Big Block Party,” this year’s entertainment includes:
Friday, July 19 – Nur-D and Good For Gary are headliners. Also on the ticket for the night are Faith Boblett and Jillian Ray’s Tribute to Shania Twain, as well as A Little Too Short To Be Stormtroopers, Jo Jo Green and local favorite Nick Fox & The MetroGnomes.
Saturday night’s headliner – Spin Doctors – dominated FM radio in the 1990s, and their hits are timeless, as is their touring routine. A recent interviewer wrote, “The Spin Doctors are the last men standing, still making music like their lives depend on it, still riding the bus, still shaking the room.” The alternative rock band is best known for its early 1990s hits “Two Princes” and “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong.”
Also on the bill for a full day of music downtown on Saturday are Kiss the Tiger, Wicked Garden, Church of Cash, Chasing Denver, Honeybutter, Heartbreaker, DJ Lyric, Nationwide Boogie, Brent & Sheena, Wren & Wilde, Wade Snake, Kevin Buck, Daniel Roberts, Darrell Pipo, Jay Herman and Logan Miller.
Tickets are available now for Rivertown Days. A presale weekend pass is just $25. The daily price at the gate is $20. Buy tickets are rivertowndaysmn.com/tickets.
