The festive spirit is set to soar as the River Valley Band prepares to host its annual Christmas concert, an event designed to usher in the holiday season with a delightful mix of traditional carols and festive showstoppers. This highly anticipated performance is a local tradition, bringing together residents of all ages for an afternoon of musical cheer and community camaraderie. The band, composed of volunteer musicians from various walks of life, is ready to deliver a performance that captures the warmth and joy of the season.

This year's program promises a diverse musical journey, carefully prepared to entertain and inspire. The set list includes classic pieces like “Olde English Carol”, “Do You Hear What I Hear”, “White Christmas” and of course “Sleigh Ride”. The concert will also feature special guests The Hastings Middle School Spiral Singers as they enthusiastically bring their sounds of the season. The program’s blend of the familiar and the fresh is sure to create an engaging experience for everyone in attendance, from young children to long-time band enthusiasts.

Beyond the entertainment, the concert embodies the very essence of community spirit at Christmas, providing an opportunity for local musicians to share their talents and for neighbors to connect before the holiday rush begins. The event is free and open to the public, with free-will donations gratefully accepted to support the Band and donations of food for the students at MN State College SE at Red Wing. This focus on giving back makes the concert a truly meaningful part of the Hastings holiday experience.

Join us for this wonderful musical celebration on Sunday December 7th at 1pm at the Hastings Middle School Auditorium. No tickets or reservations are required, simply bring your family and friends to enjoy an afternoon of festive tunes and holiday cheer.
