The Hastings Raiders Marching Band and Color Guard debuted their 2026 show, “The Warrior’s Code,” in a doubleheader of marching band competitions on Saturday, September 12.
The Raiders’ first competition that Saturday afternoon was the 34th Annual Prairie Colors Marching Band Festival at Eden Prairie High School. The Raiders took every caption award and First Place out of six bands.
The Raiders then packed up their show and headed down to Apple Valley to compete in the 2026 Eastview High School Marching Festival at Eastview High School. The team took First Place out of seven bands, sweeping the doubleheader and taking home three additional caption awards!
“The Warrior’s Code” takes audiences on a powerful journey into the world of the Samurai. Join us as we explore the timeless principles that guided these legendary warriors—respect, honor, discipline, courage, and pride.
The Raiders then headed to the green Irish fields of Rosemount High School for the 36th Annual Rosemount Marching Band Festival on September 19, where they took First Place out of five bands and earned three caption awards.
On September 26, the band traveled to Irondale to compete in the Knight Tornado Classic. Due to inclement weather, the band performed a standing show indoors. The Raiders placed First out of two bands and earned two caption awards.
Then, on September 27, the Raiders traveled to Champlin to compete in the 2026 Rebel Classic, where they took First Place in Class AAA and were named Grand Champions out of all ten marching bands and color guards competing.
The undefeated Raiders’ final performance of “The Warrior’s Code” will be October 10 at U.S. Bank Stadium for the Youth In Music Show.
Session I is both a Class Championship and the Minnesota State Tournament. The Raiders will compete against eight bands from multiple states in Class AA and against three bands for the Minnesota State Championship. If the Raiders place First in Class AA, they will advance to compete in Session II that evening.
