It’s been just over 2 weeks since the various Raider sports could start training for their seasons. Swimming has the longest season at 74 days and the most competitions at 11. Cross Country has 64 days but only 4 competitions. Boys Soccer has 51 days and ties swimming with 11 matches, Girls Soccer has 10 matches in 50 days, and Girls Tennis has 38 days in their season. Tennis has the toughest stretch of competition though. They will have all 7 matches in 19 days. Tennis and both Soccer squads have already competed twice. Tennis is 2-0 after defeating SSP 4-3 and Henry Sibley 7-0. Boys Soccer starts the season 0-2 with losses to North and Mahtomedi. Girls Soccer (1-1) defeated North St Paul 6-0 but fell to Mahtomedi 4-0. Both Soccer teams take on Henry Sibley and Tennis hosts Tartan on 9/1, Cross Country hosts a triangular on 9/2 and the Girls Swim team hosts Tartan on 9/3.
