The Hastings Raiders Boys Soccer team had a light schedule this past week after only playing one game against the North St. Paul Polars on Wednesday, September 29.
The game itself did not go as any of the Raiders expected as the Polars came out on top 8-0 in a tough loss on the road.
The Polars dominated the Raiders in the first half of the game, scoring six of their eight goals against senior goalie Carter Humb. Humb had a few saves in the mix of shot attempts made by the Polars.
The Polars cooled off in the second half of the game, only scoring two more goals. The loss was still one of the toughest for the Raiders Boys Soccer team on the season.
The loss for the Raiders Boys Soccer team brought their record against the Metro East Conference to 2-3 on the season, and their overall record to 3-9-1 on the year.
The Raiders Boys Soccer team will play their final two regular season games on the schedule next week. The first game will have been played by the time of publishing on Tuesday, October 5 against St. Thomas Academy on the road. The Raiders Boys Soccer team will then play their final regular season game at home on Thursday, October 7 against Mahtomedi. Both games start at 7:00 p.m.
