The Hastings Raiders Marching Band and Color Guard recently wrapped up its parade season with appearances at two local parades, Rivertown Days, and a nationally televised performance in the Park Hill Parade, Denver's largest Independence Day parade.
The Raiders marched in the South St. Paul Parade on June 26 and the River Falls Parade on July 10.
The Raiders also traveled to Colorado to perform in the Park Hill Parade, which was broadcast nationally on C-SPAN. While in Colorado, the Raiders had an incredible time at Elitch Gardens Theme & Water Park, whitewater rafting, cliff jumping, zip-lining, hiking, and visiting the Colorado State Capitol and the United States Air Force Academy.
This hardworking team then turned its attention to six 12-hour days of preparation for the marching band show season and rehearsed its music for its Rivertown Days performance, where the band debuted a preview of music from its upcoming show, The Warrior's Code.
The Hastings Raiders Marching Band and Color Guard's first full presentation of The Warrior's Code will be a doubleheader competition on September 12, with performances in Eden Prairie in the morning and at Eastview in the late afternoon. Come out and cheer on your Raider warriors "IN COMPETITION!"
