Students from Hastings High School spent the day Saturday celebrating one of the most anticipated events of the school year as they took part in the annual prom festivities.
Throughout the afternoon, students gathered with friends and family at homes and photo locations around the community before making their way to Hastings High School for the Grand March, which began at 4 p.m. Participants were announced individually as they crossed the auditorium stage, giving spectators a chance to see the dresses, suits, and coordinated outfits before students departed for dinner.
The prom dance was held later in the evening at The Wexford at Emerald Greens, where Hastings High School has hosted the event in recent years. Located on the Emerald Greens golf course, the venue features a spacious reception hall with large windows overlooking the surrounding landscape and plenty of room for students to gather and celebrate. The setting provided a formal backdrop for an evening of music, dancing, and time with classmates.
For many seniors, the night marked one of their final opportunities to celebrate together before graduation, while juniors also took part in the long-standing spring tradition. School staff and volunteers helped organize the event and ensure the evening ran smoothly for everyone in attendance.
