HASTINGS Police Report
July 26 11:19 a.m.
Officers were provided with various items that were found during Rivertown Days. Items that did not have an identified owner were entered into evidence for safekeeping in the event an owner was later identified.
12:35 p.m.
Officers responded to Roadside Park regarding suspicious activity. After investigating, one juvenile female was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. A juvenile male is to be charged for possession of a bb gun, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
12:57 p.m.
A theft report was taken from the 500 block of Westview Dr. A mini rooter drain cleaner was stolen from a storage unit.
5:11 p.m.
A two-vehicle accident was reported at the intersection of Spiral Blvd. and Red Wing Blvd.
10:20 p.m.
Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Tyler St. for a suspicion call. After investigation, Gregory Brannon, 44 of Hastings, was issued a citation for marijuana possession in a vehicle. 11:46 p.m.
A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of 10th St. E. and Progress Dr. The driver, Think Vang, 28 of St. Paul, was arrested for a felony Scott County warrant and Felony 5th Degree Drug Possession.
July 27 9:30 a.m.
A two-vehicle crash where one vehicle left the scene was reported near the intersection of General Sieben Dr. and Hwy. 55. DeSean M. Loveless, 18 of Hastings, was issued a citation for instruction permit violation and following too close.
11:03 a.m.
Fraudulent charges to a bank account were reported in the 1600 block of 4th St. E.
3:23 p.m.
Officers responded to the 200 block of 33rd St. for a report of shoplifting. Davis M. Carns, 40 of Hastings, was cited for theft. 8:07 p.m.
Officers responded to the 800 block of 36th St. W. for a disturbance. The situation was mediated.
10:06 p.m.
Officers served a male with a trespass notice for property in the 100 block of Tyler St.
July 28 12:59 a.m.
A traffic stop was conducted near the 100 block of 23rd St. E. The driver, Victoria L. Robinson, was arrested for Felony 5th Degree Drug Possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
8:15 a.m.
The Hastings Police Department assisted another agency in the 1600 block of S. Frontage Rd.
8:34 a.m.
Officers were called to the 700 block of Melville Circle for a suspicious vehicle report. Curtis L. Gebhart, 40 of Duluth, was cited for driving after revocation.
8:44 a.m.
A theft from vehicle report was taken in the 100 block of 23rd St. W. The incident is under investigation.
10:53 a.m.
Officers investigated a past action fraud that originated in the 2000 block of Forest St. The incident is under investigation.
12:31 p.m.
Officers responded to a theft in the 1700 block of Frontage Rd. N. This matter is under investigation.
1:07 p.m.
Officers responded to the 400 block of 14th St. on a check the welfare call. Officers spoke with the male, and he indicated he was fine.
1:10 p.m.
Adam A. Smith, 32 of Hastings, was arrested in the 500 block of Westview Dr. for an active Dakota County Warrant.
1:54 p.m.
Officers took a found property report in the 100 block of 4th St. E. Officers were unable to contact the owner.
11:22 p.m.
A suspicious vehicle was located near the 2300 block of Vermillion St. An occupant of the vehicle, Heather Oldeen of Faribault, was taken into custody for 5th degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
July 29 10:41 a.m.
A credit card fraud report was taken in the 1300 block of 17th St. W. The transaction occurred online. There are no suspects.
3:01 p.m.
Officers responded to the 1500 block of Pine St. on a theft of bicycles report. There are no suspects.
5:47 p.m.
A missing person report was taken in the 1100 block of Bahls Dr. The case is under investigation.
10:35 p.m.
The sound of a vehicle crash was heard at the intersection of Vermillion St. and 4th St. No citations were issued.
11:50 p.m.
A male with a warrant was located in the 200 block of 4th St. E. Kendarius A. Latimore, 26 of Hastings, was arrested for an active Dakota County warrant and booked into the Dakota County Jail.
July 30 10:20 a.m.
A vandalism report was taken in Old Mill Park. Obscene graffiti was located on the walking path.
10:38 a.m.
Officers investigated a past incident that occurred outside of Hastings.
4:02 p.m.
A report of a past action theft that happened in the 1700 block of S. Frontage Rd. was received. An unknown subject took about $90 in property.
9:26 p.m.
A Hastings officer responded to an accident in the 300 block of 12th St. W.
July 31 4:12 a.m.
Officers responded to the 100 block of 3rd St. E. for a suspicious call. During the investigation, officers learned the individual was looking for a lost cellphone, which was later located.
9:00 a.m.
Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Ravenna Tr. and Glendale Rd. The incident is under investigation.
11:43 a.m.
Officers were called to the 2400 block of Vermillion St. for a public assist.
5:53 p.m.
Officers responded to a damage to property call near the intersection of Pleasant Dr. and Westview Dr. Unknown individuals threw an egg at the victim’s vehicle.
6:17 p.m.
Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Kendall Dr. regarding a parking complaint. After investigation, Thomas A. Laurie, 22 of Hastings, was cited for expired registration and a parking violation.
7:14 p.m.
An officer responded to the area of Red Wing Blvd. near Michael Ave. for a hit-and-run accident. There are no suspects in this case.
7:46 p.m.
Officers received a theft report in the 1300 block of Lincoln Lane. The incident is under investigation.
August 1 3:07 a.m.
A traffic stop was performed on a vehicle in the area of 10th St. E. near Sibley St. The driver, Christopher Linder, 47 of Minneapolis, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia. The passenger, Ashlee Peterson, 34 of St. Louis Park, was cited for possession of marijuana.
4:02 a.m.
Officers responded to a disturbance in the 1100 block of Nininger Rd. Timothy S. Lee, 59 of Hastings, was arrested for two active Dakota County warrants.
