HASTINGS Police Report

Monday, September 13 ● At 2:49 a.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop near the 900 block of Vermillion St. The vehicle fled and did not stop. The incident is under investigation.

● At 8:22 a.m. officers responded to the 1300 block of Jefferson St. for a report of a found bicycle.

● At 11:15 a.m. an officer took a suspicion report in the 3600 block of Vermillion St. The case is under investigation.

● At 12:11 p.m. an officer took a barking dog complaint from Sun Valley Dr.

● At 12:24 p.m. an officer took a theft report from South Pointe Dr.

● At 1:01 p.m. officers responded to the 700 block of 31st St. East for a report of damage to property. A building was spray painted.

● At 3:02 p.m. Hastings officers were dispatched to a theft call at the American Legion. A set of keys that belonged to an employee were taken.

● At 3:34 p.m. officers responded to the 200 block of 21st St. East for a report of a found cell phone.

Tuesday, September 14 ● At 8:16 a.m. officers were called to the 2900 block of Riverwood Dr. for a fraud report. A credit card was used on the internet to make several purchases. There is no suspect information at this time and the case is inactive.

● At 8:55 a.m. an officer met with a citizen who wanted to turn in a license plate that had been found on a school playground. The license plate was found to have been expired and was entered into evidence to be destroyed.

● At 4:10 p.m. officers were called to the 3600 block of Malcolm Ave. for a fraud report. A debit card was used on the internet to make several purchases. There is no suspect information at this time and the case is inactive.

● At 5:09 p.m. officers were called to the 1700 block of North Frontage Road for a fraud report. A credit card was used without the owner’s consent. The case is under investigation.

● At 5:14 p.m. officers investigated suspicious circumstances that happened in the 3000 block of Highview Knoll.

● At 8:35 p.m. officers responded to the 200 block of 33rd St. West for a disturbance. Officers investigated the situation. The case has been documented.

Wednesday, September 15 ● At 12:46 a.m. officers responded to the 1100 block of Nininger Rd. for a disturbance call. Officers investigated the situation. Arthur Stormoen, 60, was issued a citation for trespassing.

● At 6:54 a.m. officers responded to the 1700 block of South Frontage Rd. for an identity theft report.

● At 7:18 a.m. officers responded to a two vehicle accident on South Frontage Rd.

● At 11:28 a.m. an officer took a theft report from the 400 block of Lock and Dam Rd. The theft occurred approximately one year ago, and this incident is under investigation.

● At 2:09 p.m. officers investigated a crash involving a vehicle and dog in the 600 block of 4th St. West The vehicle was not located and the officers did not make note of the status of the dog.

● At 2:12 p.m. officers were sent to the 1600 block of Maple St. for a found dog. Officers transported the dog to the River Valley Humane Society.

● At 3:39 p.m. officers investigated a potential restraining order violation in the 400 block of 17th St. West.

● At 5:19 p.m. officers investigated a dog bite incident in the 3400 block of Lester Ave.

● At 8:56 p.m. an officer responded to the 1300 block of Jefferson St. for a suspicion call. The officer investigated the situation and the case has been documented.

● At 10:01 p.m. officers received an anonymous tip that an individual with a warrant was in the area of the 400 block of 6th St. East. Michael Harris of Hastings, was taken into custody for his two warrants.

● At 10:13 p.m. officers responded to a report of a vehicle driving on the track and field track on the 1000 block of 11th St. West. Keishon James Bell, 19 of Minneapolis, was cited for operating a vehicle on private property without the owner’s consent.

Thursday, September 16 ● At 2:22 a.m. an officer responded to the 1500 block of Vermillion St. for a theft report. The officer investigated the situation and the case is still under investigation.

● At 2:48 a.m. an officer responded to the 1500 block of Vermillion St. for a theft report. The officer investigated the situation and the case is still under investigation.

● At 2:29 p.m. officers responded to the 1700 block of North Frontage Rd. on a report of a male refusing to leave the store ● At 5:43 p.m. officers responded to a found property report on the 300 block of Tyler St.

● At 8:13 p.m. officers responded to the 200 block of Walnut St. for a disturbance. Officers investigated the situation, but there was insufficient evidence to support that a crime was committed. The situation was mediated.

Friday, September 17 ● At 7:52 a.m. a Hastings officer responded to an accident involving two vehicles. No injuries reported and no citations were issued.

● At 12:25 p.m. officers were notified of a found/abandoned bike in the 1200 block of Lock and Dam Rd.

● At 3:38 p.m. officers were notified of a damage to property incident which occurred within the prior two days. Officers filed a report following the call.

● At 5:55 p.m. officers responded to the 1200 block of North Frontage Rd. for a vehicle theft report. Officers investigated the case and the case is still under investigation.

● At 9:12 p.m. an officer located an individual with a warrant at the 1400 block of Vermillion St. The officer learned the warrant was active but the issuing agency did not wish to place a hold. The case was documented following the incident.

Saturday, September 18 ● At 1:49 a.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop near the 1400 block of Vermillion St. After investigation Cordell Smith, 59 of Minneapolis, was arrested for a felony Hennepin County 5th degree drug possession warrant.

● At 8:23 a.m. officer took a animal complaint from the 800 block of 10th St. East.

Sunday, September 19 ● At 3:54 a.m. responded to the 1900 block of Sierra Dr. for medical after investigation Kyla Severson, 20 of Hastings, was issued for underage drinking and Jonathon Grasl, 39 of Hastings, was issued a citation for disorderly conduct.

● At 9:33 a.m. officers responded to the area of 18th St. West and Pine St. on a parking complaint. The vehicle was checked 24 hours later and towed. Jacob Robert, Usher, 18 of Little Falls MN, was cited for restricted days/hours of parking.

● At 9:46 a.m. officers responded to the 1400 block of Riverbluff Dr. on an after the fact theft from motor vehicle report.

● At 9:38 p.m. a traffic stop resulted in Jose Adilison Eraza 23 of Hastings, being issued a citation for driving without a valid license.

● At 9:44 p.m. officers responded to the 1500 block of Vermillion St. the incident is under investigation.
