HASTINGS Police Report

Monday, September 27 ● At 5:56 a.m. officers responded to the 400 block of Spiral Blvd. on a report of an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was located on private property and was unoccupied.

● At 11:04 a.m. an officer picked up found keys from a city park and brought them back to the police station.

● At 2:48 p.m. officers went to the 1700 block of North Frontage Rd. for a theft report ● At 5:12 p.m. officers responded to the 100 block of Sandpiper Circle on a damage to property report.

● At 5:51 p.m. officers responded to O’Reilly Auto Parts for a vehicle crash. After investigation, information of both drivers were exchanged and no citations or injuries were reported.

● At 6:53 p.m. officers assisted Eagan Police at the scene of a traffic stop.

Tuesday, September 28 ● At 4:53 a.m. officers were called to the 500 block of 3rd St. West for a hit and run accident. The incident is currently under investigation.

● At 1:14 p.m. officers responded to the 800 block of 15th St. West on a report of found property.

● At 1:32 p.m. officers received an after the fact report of a theft by swindle where $3,000 was stolen. There are no suspects of the theft at this time.

● At 2:53 p.m. officers received a report of an after the fact theft over the internet. There are no suspects of the theft at this time.

● At 3:25 p.m. officers investigated an arrest warrant at the police department lobby.

● At 4:24 p.m. officers arrested Glennel Steveone Powell for an outstanding warrant.

● At 6:34 p.m. officers responded to the 400 block of 3rd St. West for a theft report. After investigation, there are no known suspects at this time.

● At 6:35 p.m. officers responded to the 1300 block of an unlisted street in their report on a call of a runaway child. After searching the area, the child was found and located inside his residence.

● At 7:24 p.m. officers took a damage to property report on the 1500 block of 14th St. West. There are no known suspects at this time.

● At 8:13 p.m. officers responded to the corner of 17th St. and Westview Dr. for a vehicle that hit a parked car. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued.

● At 9:23 p.m. officers responded to an animal call near the 300 block of 33rd St. West. After investigation, Debbie Dowell, 56 of Hastings, was issued a citation for dog at large and dog without a collar.

● At 9:44 p.m. officers responded to the 700 block of Melville Circle for a possible domestic. After investigation, officers found the issue to be a juvenile problem.

Wednesday, September 29 ● At 1:51 a.m. officers responded to the 1400 block of Vermillion St. on a report of an individual causing a disturbance. After investigating, officers placed Brian John Larsen, 45 of Hastings, under arrest for disorderly conduct. Larsen was booked and is being held at Dakota County Jail.

● At 3:12 a.m. officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Tuttle Dr. for a suspicion call. After investigation, Henry Davig, 19 of Red Wing, was arrested for misdemeanor of the 4th degree driving while impaired.

● At 12:32 p.m. officers responded to the 1700 block of Market Blvd. for a report of a hit and run. There are no suspects at this time.

● At 2:39 p.m. officers responded to the 200 block of General Sieben Dr. regarding a report of an assault. The case is still under investigation.

● At 2:43 p.m. officers responded to the 300 block of Frederick Circle on a harassment report.

● At 3:13 p.m. officers responded to a driving complaint over the Hastings Bridge. Officers located the vehicle near 7th St. West and Eddy St. where the driver was having a medical issue. Family members arrived to care for the driver and a driver evaluation request was completed.

● At 4:46 p.m. officers received a report of a welfare check. The subject was located and determined to be safe.

Thursday, September 30 ● At 10:34 a.m. officers responded to a damage to property incident in the 800 block of Bahls Dr. This incident is under investigation.

● At 10:57 a.m. officers were dispatched to 18th and Vermillion St. for a property damage accident. There were no injuries and no citations were issued.

● At 1:08 p.m. officers responded to the 1400 block of Whispering Court and filed an informational report.

● At 1:36 p.m. officers responded to the 1400 block of Todd Way for a found bike. Officers took the bike back to Hastings Police Station and stored it in evidence.

● At 1:53 p.m. officers were called to the lock and dam parking area to a male lying on the ground, intoxicated and denying medical attention.

Friday, October 1 ● At 9:29 a.m. officers responded to the 500 block of Westview Dr. for a garbage dumping complaint.

● At 9:55 a.m. officers responded to a damage to property report in the 200 block of 2nd St. There are no suspects at this time.

● At 10:21 a.m. officers were again called to the 500 block of Westview Dr. for another garbage dumping complaint. The case is still under investigation.

● At 11:28 a.m. officers began investigating an allegation of financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult. The case is still under investigation.

● At 3:54 p.m. officers responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 100 block of Tyler St. Officers investigated the call and arrested Rochelle Spiel, 63 of Hastings for 3rd degree DUI.

● At 7:17 p.m. Officer Haedt responded to 2100 Vermillion St. for an accident regarding damage to property. There were no injuries reported or citations issued in Officer Haedt’s report.

● At 10:31 p.m. officers received a missing person report in the 100 block of 4th St. East. The male was located by Dakota County Sheriff deputies and returned to his residence.

● At 11:02 p.m. an officer initiated a traffic stop in the 1200 block of North Frontage Rd. The driver, Dustin Rogers 48 of Chaska, was taken into custody for 4th degree driving while intoxicated.

Saturday, October 2 ● At 12:39 a.m. officers responded to the intersection of Ravenna Trl. and 18th St. East for an accident between a vehicle and a deer. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued.

● At 1:07 a.m. an officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle at Vermillion St. near 10th St. East. During the traffic stop, Ta Dah Dah, 28 of St. Paul, was taken into custody for a warrant.

● At 2:30 a.m. officers responded to a welfare check in the 400 block of Pleasant Dr. The incident was mediated and documented by officers on the scene.

Sunday, October 3 ● At 2:55 a.m. an officer initiated a traffic stop in the area of Vermillion St. near 3rd St. East. The driver, Jeffrey Gabbert 43 of South St. Paul, was taken into custody for a warrant.

● At 9:27 a.m. officers responded to the 500 block of 4th St. West for an accident involving a parked vehicle. Officers identified both parties and filed a state accident report.

● At 12:15 p.m. officers responded to the 500 block of Eddy St. for a damage to property report. There are no suspects at this time.

● At 3:46 p.m. an officer took a found property report from the 1300 block of Lock and Dam Rd. The owner of the property was identified and the property was returned to them.

● At 11:32 p.m. officers responded to a suspicious activity report on the 3500 block of Malcolm Ave. The case is still under investigation.
