HASTINGS Police Report

October 18 9:57 a.m.

A theft was reported in the 2500 block of Millard Ave. 11:52 a.m. Officers were called to the 2000 block of Vermillion St. for a damage to property report. A vehicle was damaged by unknown means. The case is inactive.

2:27 p.m. Fraud was reported in the 2000 block of Forest St. A fictitious check was sent in an attempted scam. The incident is under investigation.

3:18 p.m. A motor vehicle collision was reported in the 1700 block of N. Frontage Rd. Larry J. Kittleson, 71 of Hastings, was cited for failure to yield.

4:20 p.m. A two-vehicle accident was reported at the intersection of 36th St. and Marmik Circle. No citations were issued, and no injuries were reported.

4:57 p.m. Officers responded to a fight in the 1000 block of 11th St. W. This report is under investigation.

5:43 p.m. Officers responded to a suspicious circumstances report involving a sold vehicle in the 2900 block of Riverwood Dr.

7:35 p.m. After a driving complaint was received, a traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle in the area of 4th St. W. near Whispering Lane. The driver was issued a verbal warning and the case was documented.

8:11 p.m. A car vs. deer accident with property damage was reported near the intersection of Glendale Rd. and Spiral Blvd. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.

October 19

10:24 a.m.

A male was reported to be acting in a disorderly manner in the 1200 block of Vermillion St. Jason E. Matt, 41 of Mounds View was arrested for disorderly conduct. Matt was also booked into Dakota County Jail for two active warrants.

10:39 a.m. Officers responded to the 200 block of General Sieben Dr. regarding a report of assault. The incident is under investigation.

October 20

4:10 a.m.

An assault was reported in the 800 block of General Sieben Dr. The case is under investigation.

8:09 a.m. A report of assault was received from the 800 block of General Sieben Dr. The case is under investigation.

5:02 p.m. Officers were dispatched to General Sieben Dr. and 15th St. on a two-vehicle property damage accident. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.

5:51 p.m. A stolen license plate report was received from the 1300 block of 15th St.

10:43 p.m. A damage to property incident was reported in the 1800 block of 13th St. W. The reporting party’s door was damaged by unknown suspects. The estimated damage was $300.

10:45 p.m. Officers were requested to check the welfare of a subject near the 1300 block of S. Frontage Rd.

11:49 p.m. Officers took a check the welfare call in the 900 block of Tyler St. The incident is under investigation.

October 21

9:40 a.m.

A report of possible fraud was received in the 1600 block of Bailey St.

9:57 a.m. Officers responded to the 1300 block of Maple St. for a report of damage to property.

10:06 a.m. Officers responded to the 200 block of 2nd St. E. for a report of damage to property.

4:38 p.m. Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Vermillion St. and 15th St. 6:00 p.m.

Officers responded to the 1200 block of Vermillion St. for a suspicion call.

7:41 p.m.

Officers responded to the 1200 block of 18th St. to handle an intoxicated individual. The individual had been delt with on multiple occasions earlier in the day. The male identified as Donald J. Green, 59 of Hastings, and was booked into Dakota County Jail for disorderly conduct.

9:20 p.m. Officers responded to the 100 block of Amelia Ave. for a welfare check.

October 22

2:40 p.m.

Officers responded to the 500 block of Westview Dr. for a report of theft.

10:13 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of 8th St. E. for a disturbance. After investigation, four juveniles were cited for underage consumption.

October 23

1:35 p.m.

Officers received a report of an abandoned bicycle at the 1600 block of Wyndham Place. The bike was placed into cold storage. 4:08 p.m.

A theft of license plates was reported in the 3100 block of Red Wing Blvd.

7:12 p.m. An unknown suspect reportedly stole $217 and caused $110 in damage at a business in the 1700 block of N. Frontage Rd. The incident is under investigation.

11:33 p.m. Two found bicycles were reported in the 1600 block of Vermillion St. The bicycles were taken for safekeeping.

October 24

2:11 a.m.

Officers responded to the area of 8th St. and Sibley St. on a report of a possibly intoxicated driver. Upon arrival, officers located the driver and he was placed under arrest for DWI. Kevin L. Gedatus, 29 of Hastings, was booked and released for DWI – Fourth Degree Driving While Impaired.

6:36 p.m. A harassment incident was investigated on Radford Rd.
