HASTINGS Police Report

November 22 2:22 a.m.

A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of 14th St. E. and Vermillion St. The driver, Matthew J. McNeill, 46 of St. Paul was arrested for driving after cancellation.

9:14 a.m. An abandoned bike from the 900 block of Maple St. The bike was placed into storage.

10:40 a.m. A welfare check was performed in the 1800 block of Walnut St.

12:52 p.m. A report of suspicious circumstances was received in the 3100 block of Olson Dr.

3:02 p.m. The theft of a license plate was reported in the 1000 block of Sibley St.

November 23

3:19 a.m.

A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of Tyler St. and 8th St. The driver, Dylan Hofacker, 24 of Red Wing was arrested for driving after cancellation.

8:14 a.m. A two-vehicle crash was reported near the intersection of Eddy St. and 15th St. 8:31 a.m.

An after the fact theft report was taken in the 1300 block of S. Frontage Rd. There are no suspects.

12:19 p.m. A lost wallet was reported that turned into a theft report in the 1700 block of N. Frontage Rd.

1:16 p.m. A suspicious person was report was received on Sibley St. 1:34 p.m. Officers responded to a fire call in the 800 block of 18th St. E. Upon investigation, one person was warned for a having a fire in the park and a second person was arrested by the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office for an outstanding warrant.

2:57 p.m. A report was received of an after the fact damage to property report. An item was thrown at a car near the 900 block of Hwy. 55 causing moderate damage. There are no suspects.

9:28 p.m. An able officer responded to the 1400 block of Brittany Rd. to check the welfare of an individual. The officer made contact with the individual who advised they were alright.

November 24

2:21 a.m.

A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of Vermillion St. and 9th St. After investigation, the passenger, Jeremy Carlson, 45 of Frederic, WI was arrested for Felony 5th Degree Drug Possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

9:35 a.m. An after the fact damage to property report was received that occurred in the 900 block of Vermillion St.

1:07 p.m. A predatory offender check was performed in the 300 block of 4th St. E.

1:15 p.m. Another agency was assisted with a warrant arrest near the intersection of 17th St. and Spring St.

8:00 p.m. Officers responded to the 200 block of Sibley St. for a vehicle crash with no injuries. After investigation, Donald J. Fawcett, 55 of Hastings was cited for driving after revocation, failure to yield to cross traffic and no proof of insurance.

November 25

1:30 a.m.

A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of 15th St. and Pine St. The driver, John Klemke of Hastings was arrested for a gross misdemeanor 3rd Degree Driving Under the Influence.

2:37 a.m. A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of Vermillion St. and 12th St. During the course of the traffic stop, officers detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. The driver was warned for possession. Information only.

8:35 p.m.

Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Nininger Rd. and Madison St. for a car vs. deer accident. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.

9:45 p.m. A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle in the area of 17th St. W. near Spring St. During the course of the traffic stop, the officer located suspected drug paraphernalia and suspected marijuana. The four juveniles were issued a warning.

November 26

3:30 a.m.

A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle in the area of Vermillion St. near 19th St. The driver, Haley Ness, 22 of St. Paul was cited for driving after suspension.

9:37 a.m. Officers were informed of a potential theft in progress in the 1700 block of N. Frontage Rd. Daniel T. Raymo of St. Paul was trespassed from Walmart.

November 27

12:31 a.m.

A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle in the area of Vermillion St. near 8th St. E. The driver, Bahubali Bhujel, 34 of St. Paul was taken into custody for 4th Degree Driving While Intoxicated.

7:43 p.m. A damage to property report was taken in the 3100 block of Cory Ln. A vehicle’s windshield was damaged from an object being thrown at a passing vehicle. There are no suspects in the case, and the case is under investigation.

7:57 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of Red Wing Blvd. and 33rd St. W. After investigation, Andrew K. Proesch, 35 of Red Wing was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

November 28

7:20 a.m. Officers responded to a house fire in the 500 block of Ramsey St. 5:13 p.m.

Officers were notified of a theft incident in the 2900 block of 4th St. E. Officers are investigating.
