HASTINGS Police Report
November 29
9:25 a.m.
A report of an abandoned bicycle was received in the 800 block of 11th St. W. The owner is unknown.
11:26 a.m. Officers responded to a medical call on Amelia Ave. 12:37 p.m. A report of a fight was received near the intersection of General Sieben Dr. and Hwy. 55. John D. Tuccitto, 59 of Hastings was cited for 5th Degree Assault.
3:44 p.m. Officers responded to the 200 block of 33rd St. W. on a lost property report.
November 30
11:15 a.m.
Officers responded near the intersection of Red Wing Blvd. and 31st St. E. on an after the fact theft report.
6:57 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the Hastings bridge regarding a welfare check. While investigating the call, officers learned of an assault that occurred in a neighboring county.
7:17 p.m. An unoccupied vehicle was encountered on the Hwy. 61 bridge. The vehicle was towed for he safety of traffic on the bridge. 7:50 p.m.
The theft of a package was reported in the 2700 block of Rushmore Rd. There were no known suspects at the time.
9:35 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of 5th St. E. regarding a suspicion. After investigating, officers determined a crime did not occur. A bicycle was taken for safekeeping.
December 1
8:44 a.m.
Officers responded to a report of a theft in the 1300 block of S. Frontage Rd.
11:48 a.m. An after the fact hit-and-run report was taken near the 200 block of Ramsey St. There are no suspects.
3:18 p.m. Officers responded to the 300 block of 2nd St. W. following the report of found property. The property was placed into evidence for safekeeping.
December 2
1:05 a.m.
Officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of Vermillion St. regarding a fight. The case is under investigation.
1:36 a.m. A suspicion call was received from the 600 block of Westview Dr. after a subject did not know what happened to their socks, Christmas ornaments and miscellaneous food items in their apartment.
10:35 a.m. Found property was received in the 300 block of 2nd St. E. and entered into evidence for safekeeping.
10:37 a.m. An after the fact fraud report was received in the 1500 block of Vermillion St. The case is under investigation.
10:56 a.m. An aggressive dog was investigated at the dog park in the 800 block of 10th St. E.
5:22 p.m. A car vs. sign property damage accident was reported in the 1400 block of Vermillion St. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.
5:50 p.m. An officer spoke with victims of credit card fraud over the phone. An unknown suspect obtained the victim’s credit card information and attempted to purchase goods online. Officers are investigating the incident and the victim did not appear to be out any money at that time.
7:00 p.m. Officers were dispatched to contact a subject regarding some questionable activity regarding withdrawals from their bank account after the bank noticed the transactions. The subject declined that the activity was suspicious and indicated they were working on the situation with the bank.
December 3
12:07 p.m.
Officers responded to a past-action theft in the 1500 block of Florence St. An unknown subject stole about $1,000 in property. 3:55 p.m. A past action theft report was taken in the 1300 block of 15th St. after an unknown subject stole about $18.00.
5:09 p.m. Officers responded to an after the fact theft in the 100 block of 23rd St. W. An unknown person stole about $1,000 in property.
December 4
4:21 p.m.
A damage to property report was taken in the 1200 block of View Ct. There were no suspects at the time.
6:14 p.m. A past action report of assault was received from the 1000 block of 11th St. W. The officer investigated the case. There was insufficient evidence to establish probable cause that a crime was committed. 7:26 p.m.
Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Spiral View Loop and Hwy. 61. Matthew J. Cady, 39 of S. Saint Paul was cited for expired registration.
9:47 p.m. A hit-and-run accident was reported at the intersection of Red Wing Blvd. and Tuttle Dr.
10:13 p.m. A one-vehicle accident was reported at the intersection of Northridge Dr. and Pleasant Dr. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.
December 5
1:05 a.m.
Officers responded to a welfare check in the 200 block of 8th St. E. After investigation, one juvenile male was cited for consumption of alcohol.
2:13 a.m. Officers responded to the 3400 block of Vermillion St. for a fight call. Arron S. King, 22 of Newport was arrested for two counts of 2nd Degree Assault, 5th Degree Assault and using pepper spray in an unauthorized manor.
2:03 p.m. A vehicle was impounded from the 900 block of 15th St. W.
8:08 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop near the 200 block of 21st
St. E.
