HASTINGS Police Report

December 27 6:30 a.m.

A traffic stop was initiated in the 30 block of 27th St. E. that resulted ni the arrest of Arron A. Burr, 47 of Hastings. Burr was booked for terroristic threats, 5th Degree Controlled Substance, possessing a handgun without a permit and driving after suspension.

1:24 p.m.

A past-action theft was reported in the 800 block of Lynn Way.

7:46 p.m. A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle in the area of Glendale Rd. near Ravenna Trail. During the course of the traffic stop, officers located narcotics and drug paraphernalia. The passenger, Ganize Outten of Minneapolis was taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Outten was also charged with introduction of contraband into a correctional facility.

December 28

2:22 a.m.

A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of Ramsey St. and 17th St. W. The vehicle fled from officers and the driver of the vehicle was not identified. The case is under investigation.

3:04 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Pleasant Dr. and Featherstone Rd. for an accident involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued. 3:21 p.m.

A snow emergency was declared for the City of Hastings.

9:31 p.m. A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle near the intersection of 2nd St. E. and Chestnut St. The driver, Chad Zeien, 49 of Hastings was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated.

10:53 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of Vermillion St. and 10th St. E. After investigation, Maxwell J. Olive, 22 of Hayfield was cited for petty misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

December 29

2:25 a.m.

A traffic stop was initiated in the 100 block of 2nd St. E. After investigation the driver, Christopher J. Davis, 50 of Hastings was arrested for driving after cancellation inimical to public safety and an active warrant.

12:34 p.m. Officers investigated a past action damage to property incident in the 2100 block of Vermillion St. An unknown subject caused about $300 in damage.

1:07 p.m. An after the fact disturbance was reported in the 600 block of 5th St. W.

1:39 p.m.

Officers responded to an after the fact disturbance in the 600 block of Vermillion St. An unknown subject caused about $300 in damage. 8:38 p.m.

A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of 4th St. E. and Vermillion St. After investigation, one adult female is to be charged via formal complaint for gross misdemeanor tax evasion and misdemeanor driving after suspension.

9:15 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted in the 1600 block of Vermillion St. after investigation. The driver, Arianna M. Boston of Hastings was cited for driving an uninsured vehicle.

9:52 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Ravenna Trail and Glendale Rd. for a traffic violation.

December 30

3:11 a.m.

A traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of Hwy. 55 and Maple St. After investigation, Nicholas A. Styrbicky, 27 of Annandale was arrested for two active Wright County warrants.

4:28 a.m. A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle in the area of Ravenna Trail and Glendale Rd. The case was documented for information only. 12:14 p.m.

A potential hit-and-run crash was investigated in the 200 block of Tuttle Dr.

3:07 p.m. Suspicious circumstances in another jurisdiction was reported.

11:50 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of 15th St. and Tyler St. After investigation, Cody R. Brown, 27 of Hastings was cited for driving after revocation.

December 31

2:15 a.m.

A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle in the area of Vermillion St. near 10th St. E. During the course of the investigation, narcotics were located in the vehicle. The driver, Willie Braggs, 34 of St. Paul was taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance.

5:13 p.m.

Officers responded to the intersection of 10th St. E. and Sibley St. after a reported two-vehicle accident without injuries. No citations were issued.

January 1

2:11 a.m.

Officers responded to the 1500 block of Vermillion St. to check the welfare of a female without shoes on reported to be causing a scene. After investigation, Lisa J. Ohlrogge, 33 of St. Paul was arrested for obstruction and disorderly conduct. 3:33 a.m.

An after the fact burglary was discovered in the 2600 block of Commerce Dr. The case is under investigation.

9:47 a.m. Officers were made aware of a parking complaint in the 2500 block of Voyageur Parkway. The vehicle was tagged and towed.

8:48 p.m. Officers responded to a drunkenness report in the 500 block of Westview Dr.

10:04 p.m. A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle in the area of Hwy. 61 near Spiral View Loop. The driver, Wade Tutor, 44 of Prescott was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated.

January 2

1:10 a.m.

Officers responded to a vehicle vs. tree accident in the 1000 block of 14th West. Victor M. Silva, 44 of Hastings was arrested for 3rd Degree DWI and driving without a license. 1:59 a.m.

A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle on Hwy. 61 near Spiral View Loop. The driver, Cody Irwin of Northfield was cited for possession of marijuana.

9:32 a.m. Officers responded to the 1900 block of Forest St. on a welfare check call.
