HASTINGS Police Report
January 17 6:03 a.m. Officers located found property in the 100 block of 3rd St. E. 9:49 a.m.
Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Tyler St. regarding an accident with no injuries. After investigation, one adult male is to be charged via formal complaint for 2nd Degree DWI and driving after suspension.
11:05 a.m. A reporting party turned in found property with no identifying information of the owner. The property was entered into Hastings PD evidence for safekeeping.
9:31 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of Westview Dr. for a theft/fraud related call. The incident is under investigation.
10:17 p.m.
A traffic stop was initiated in the 1200 block of Vermillion St. During the course of the traffic stop, the officer located suspected marijuana paraphernalia. The case was documented.
January 18
6:47 a.m. Officers checked the welfare of a driver parked in a private lot in the 500 block of Spiral Blvd. 2:53 p.m. A civil matter was investigated in the 1100 block of Bahls Dr. 8:00 p.m.
Officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Vermillion St. for a fraud report. The incident is under investigation.
8:53 p.m. A found property call was taken near the intersection of 5th St. and Ash St.
11:20 p.m. Officers responded to the area of Vermillion St. near Hwy. 55 for a driving complaint. Officers located the vehicle and determined the driver was involved in an accident. Officers docuemented the accident.
January 19
10:46 a.m.
Officers took a report of damage to property and theft in the 10 block of 26th St. E. Over $500 worth of damage was done, and $550 worth was stolen. The incident is under investigation.
3:16 p.m.
An accident involving two vehicles was reported at the intersection of Spiral Blvd. and Red Wing Blvd.
January 20
6:34 p.m.
A driving complaint was received near the 1800 block of Market Blvd. The driver of the vehicle in question was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated. The case is under investigation.
9:16 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted on Nininger Rd. near 1st St. W. The suspect vehicle fled and was not located.
January 21
3:18 a.m.
Hastings Police received a report of potential financial exploitation and care neglect from the Minnesota Adult Abuse Reporting Center (MAARC). The incident is under investi- gation. 6:58 a.m.
Officers responded to the 1400 block of 14th St. W. regarding a possible damage to property incident. An unknown suspect caused about $350 in damage.
January 22
3:51 p.m.
Officers responded to an after the fact theft from the 1700 block of N. Frontage Rd. An unknown suspect stole about $40 in property.
3:52 p.m. Officers received a report of possible financial exploitation in the 2000 block of Nininger Rd. This matter was investigated and documented for informational purposes.
4:07 p.m. A traffic stop was performed on a vehicle in the 100 block of 5th St. The driver, Enzo McNamara, 18 of Hastings was issued a citation for driving after suspension.
6:31 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of 7th St. W. regarding a traffic accident. An unknown person struck a cable box and drove away from the scene.
9:26 p.m. A snow emergency was declared in the City of Hastings. 10:58 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of 36th St. and Cannon St. After investigation, Jeffrey S. Marting, 50 of Hastings was arrested for gross misdemeanor DWI.
January 23 2:12 a.m. Officers responded to a suspicion call in the 1700 block of Spring St. The incident was documented by officers on scene.
