HASTINGS Police Report

January 24 11:16 a.m.

A person with a warrant was observed near the intersection of 4th St. and Forest St. Lindsey M. Johnson, 30 of Hastings was arrested for a gross misdemeanor warrant out of Benton County, MN.

1:51 p.m. Officers took a report of damage to property in the 900 block of Southview Dr. 7:26 p.m. Officers responded to a welfare check near the intersection of Eddy St. and 2nd St. W. The incident was documented by officers on scene. 8:04 p.m.

Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of 35th St. W. regarding a traffic accident. Officers assisted both parties in exchanging information.

January 26

7:22 a.m.

Officers responded to an accident involving two vehicles in the 1200 block of Vermillion St. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.

10:53 a.m. A report of suspicious text messages being received was reported in the 1400 block of S. Frontage Rd. A report was written to document the activity.

11:13 a.m. A theft report was taken in the 300 block of 6th St. W. 11:28 a.m. Officers responded to the 1600 block of Vermillion St. for a report of found property.

2:43 p.m. Officers responded to the 200 block of General Sieben Dr. for a two-vehicle accident.

3:20 p.m. Officers took a report from the police department lobby regarding a scam resulting in a felony amount of currency taken. The incident is under investigation.

6:59 p.m.

Officers took a check the welfare report in the 100 block of 3rd St. E.

7:34 p.m. An officer responded to the 1200 block of Vermillion St. for a theft report. The officer investigated the case. The case is under investigation.

8:08 p.m. Officers investigated a fraud incident on Three Rivers Dr. 11:13 p.m. A missing person was reported in the 100 block of 11th St. E.

January 27

2:42 a.m.

An officer responded to 18th St. E. near Ravenna Trail for an accident. The driver, Erin Dow of Minneapolis was issued a citation for driving after revocation.

1:50 p.m. Officers received an after the fact hit and run report. A vehicle was struck in an unknown area in Hastings by an unknown driver. There are no suspects. 2:05 p.m.

Officers responded to the 500 block of Kendall Dr. for a neighbor dispute.

4:43 p.m. Officers responded to the 1700 block of N. Frontage Rd. for a vehicle theft which occurred between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. 11:47 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of Vermillion St. and 19th St. W. Danielle M. Kelsey, 34 of Hastings was cited for driving after revocation.

January 28

1:19 a.m.

Officers assisted the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office with a traffic stop near the intersection of 19th St. and Louis Lane.

11:18 a.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Ashland St. and 5th St. for an accident involving two vehicles. No citations were issued, and no injuries were reported.

2:34 p.m. Officers responded to a welfare check in the 100 block of 26th St. E. 3:15 p.m.

A reporting party called in to report that she lost her wallet and she believed it was somewhere in Hastings.

7:40 p.m. A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle in the area of 14th St. W. near Spring St. The driver, Enzo McNamara of Hastings was taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and driving after suspension. The passenger, Bradley Cox of Hastings was cited for possession of marijuana.

11:10 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle near the intersection of 2nd St. and Sibley St. The driver, Clayton Olson, 37 of Hastings was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated.

11:35 p.m.

Officers assisted Elk River PD with a welfare check near the 900 block of 36th St. W.

January 29

2:25 p.m.

Officers conducted a welfare check on 26th St. E. 5:46 p.m. Officers responded to a missing juvenile complaint in the 600 block of Westview Dr. The missing juvenile was located and returned home.

January 30 1:18 a.m. Officers responded to a vandalism complaint in the 1400 block of 21st St. W. The incident is under investigation.

3:56 p.m. Officers responded to the 3000 block of Lightbourn Ct. for a suspicious incident. 8:38 p.m.

Officers responded to the 200 block of 18th St. W. for a stolen vehicle in progress. After investigation, Reed J. Bennett, 26 of St. Paul was arrested for a felony theft of a motor vehicle.
