HASTINGS Police Report

January 31 7:25 a.m.

Officers responded to a vehicle theft report in the 1400 block of Vermillion St. The case is under investigation.

7:48 a.m. A two-vehicle accident was reported in the 1000 block of 11th St. W.

10:49 a.m. A fraud report was taken in the 300 block of 6th St. E. The incident is under investigation.

12:13 p.m. Officers responded to a welfare check in the 2500 block of Voyageur Parkway.

1:35 p.m. Officers responded to the 100 block of 2nd St. E. regarding a theft. An unknown person stole a shovel valued at $100 from the alley way on the morning of January 26.

February 1

10:07 a.m.

Officers responded to the 400 block of 4th St. E. to provide medical attention to a patient who was injured while at work. The patient was transported to the hospital by paramedics.

12:55 p.m.

A theft was reported in the 1700 block of Market Blvd. The case is under investigation.

3:24 p.m. The reporting party found remains of a deer that he wanted to take possession of in the area of the intersection of Lake St. and 4th St. The proper paperwork was completed, and he was able to take the remains of the deer.

3:38 p.m. Officers responded to a missing person report in the 1000 block of Riverwood Ct. The missing person was located nearby. 8:10 p.m.

Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Ravenna Trail and 18th St. E. Keanna T. Lumpkins, 26 of Robbinsdale was arrested for a warrant and 5th Degree Drug Possession.

9:04 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of Vermillion St. and 8th St. The driver, Tyler Fischbach, 18 of Hastings was issued a citation for speeding.

9:45 p.m. A traffic stop was performed near the intersection of Ravenna Trail and Glendale Trail. During the course of the traffic stop, an officer observed drug paraphernalia in plain view. The driver was warned for the suspected drug paraphernalia.

9:57 p.m.

A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle on 10th St. E. near Ramsey St. The driver, Qu’Torrius Maddox, 21 of St. Paul was cited for expired registration.

10:51 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of Progress Dr. and 10th St. E. The driver, Darrius O. Baldwin, 23 of St. Paul was arrested for felony and misdemeanor possession of stolen property and driving after revocation. The passenger, Kiara M. N. Brantley, 23 of St. Paul was arrested for Felony 5th Degree Drug Possession.

February 2

11:40 a.m.

Officers received an after the fact report of identity theft in the 1300 block of Ramsey St. There are no suspects.

2:47 p.m. An investigation was started regarding an ongoing ordinance violation in the 100 block of 2nd St. E. The incident is under investigation.

2:56 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of Glendale Rd. and Ravenna Trail. The driver, Todd Puckett, 52 of Forest Lake was arrested for a misdemeanor Washington County warrant.

5:34 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of Glendale Rd. and Ravenna Trail. The driver, Elizabeth Moeller, 55 of Hastings was issued a citation for expired registration.

5:37 p.m. A trailer theft was investigated in the 1800 block of Louis Ln. The case is under investigation.

February 3

1:51 a.m.

A traffic stop was initiated in the area of Ravenna Trail and 18th St. E. The driver, Javon Brown of Brooklyn Park was taken into custody for giving an officer a fake name and driving after cancelled IPS. The passenger, Thomas Booth of Big Lake was taken into custody for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a stolen check and check forgery. 4:32 p.m.

A suspicious act was investigated in the 2100 block of Westview Dr.

6:02 p.m. A vehicle crash was reported at the intersection of 10th St. E. and Ramsey St. Upon arrival, it was learned that three vehicles were involved.

10:53 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of 10th St. E. and Progress Dr. The passenger, Charles Patterson, 29 of St. Paul was arrested for a felony Ramsey County warrant and a felony Scott County warrant.

11:58 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 block of 2nd St. E.

The driver, Chandra Huffman of Burnsville was found to be impaired and was arrested for DWI.

February 4

12:35 a.m.

A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle near the 900 block of Vermillion St. The driver, Josh Roesler, 43 of Ellsworth, WI was arrested for a gross misdemeanor Dakota County warrant.

4:45 p.m. Officers were handed a suspicious substance that had been found in a new condo in the 3100 block of Cory Ln. The item was destroyed.

5:02 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of Ravenna Trail and Glendale Rd. Jacqueline S. Thorpe, 50 was cited for expired registration.

7:32 p.m. Officers investigated a driving complaint near the 900 block of Spiral Blvd.

February 5

3:09 p.m.

Officers responded to the area of General Sieben Dr. and Hwy. 55 for a report of two young children by themselves walking toward the highway. The children were reunited with their parents.

7:24 p.m. A traffic stop was initiated near the intersection of Cty. Rd. 47 and Eddy St. During the course of the traffic stop, the officer located suspected drug paraphernalia. The occupants were given a warning for possessing drug paraphernalia.

11:29 p.m. Officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the 2000 block of Vermillion St. After investigation, Anthony P. Payne Jr., 30 of Hastings was issued a misdemeanor citation for disorderly conduct.

February 6

12:40 a.m.

Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of 17th St. regarding a damage to property call. An unknown person or person’s threw eggs at a residence and vehicle, causing an unknown amount of damage.

8:00 p.m. A suspicious person report was taken in the 1400 block of Vermillion St. after vandalism was reported.

10:12 p.m. Officers responded to the 200 block of 7th St. E. for a male turning himself in on a warrant. Joshua J. Plumley, 40 of Hastings was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant.
