October 26th 10:27 p.m. Death investigation, per the medical examiner the body was turned over to the funeral home.
11:35 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Vermillion Street and 10th Street East. After investigation, Brittany Lee Elsie, age 22 of Hastings, was cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana.
October 27th 8:11 a.m. Officers located a vehicle parked in the alleyway between 4th Street and 5th Street West were signs prohibit parking.
8:15 a.m. Officers located multiple vehicles parked in the public parking in the 200 block of 4th Street that had been parked for longer than the 72 hour public parking lot limit. The vehicles were then towed for the violation.
9:33 a.m. Officers took a theft of political sign in the 900 block of 4th St.
12:24 p.m. Officers responded to the 100 block of River St. on a found dog. The dog was brought to the Goodhue County Humane Society.
12:43 p.m. Officers responded to the 100 block of State Street. After further investigation, Shannon Marie Whelan, 42 of Hastings, was arrested and booked at Dakota County Jail for felony- fugitive from justice.
2:58 p.m. Officers were called to the 1300 block of 4th St. W for a threats report. Information only.
9:43 p.m. An officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle at Tyler Street and 6th Street East. The driver, Justin Lewis, 29 of Minneapolis, was cited for driving after revocation.
10:57 p.m. Officers responded to the 200 block of 4th Street East for a theft report. Officers investigated the case. There are no suspects in this case and the case is inactive.
11:21 p.m. Officers initiated a traffic stop on Highway 55 near the intersection of Westview Drive for a semaphore violation. After investigation drug paraphernalia was located in the vehicle. There are no charges pending. October 28th 2:01 p.m. Hastings officers responded to the 3200 block of Vermillion St. on an AOA.
9:44 p.m. Officers responded to the 100 block of Bahls Drive for a welfare check. The individual was located at a medical facility and the reporting party was advised.
10:47 p.m. Hastings police began investigating a no contact order violation that occurred via phone call. The incident was documented and sent to the Dakota
County Attorney’s Office for charging consideration.
October 29th 12:38 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of Voyageur Parkway in regards to a theft. This case is under investigation.
9:29 a.m. Officers cited Samantha Louise Virchow, age 32 of Hastings, with motor vehicle expired registration.
10:43 a.m. Hastings officers responded to the 2500 block of Yellowstone Dr. on a hit and run report.
10:30 a.m. Officer received a report of a theft from the 600 block of Ramsey Street. The theft occurred on 10/21/2020, and there are no suspects at this time.
11:41 a.m. Officers responded to the 100 block of 2nd St. E on a civil assist. Officers mediated as necessary.
1:19 p.m. Officers assisted another agency on the 1300 block of 4th Street West.
5:35 p.m. Officers received a report of a road rage incident near the 400 block of Vermillion St, involving a weapon. No suspect information was received. The area was checked and the suspect was not located.
October 30th 2:18 a.m. Officers located a vehicle bearing confirmed stolen plates in the 400 block of Vermillion Street. Under investigation.
10:20 a.m. Officers took custody of a dog that was found running loose. The dog was transported to the humane shelter in Red Wing.
2:11 p.m. Officers received an after the fact theft report of tool from a vehicle. There are no suspects.
8:18 p.m. Officers responded to the 2100 block of Vermillion Street for a hit and run accident without injuries.
11:49 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Ravenna Trail and 185th Street to assist Dakota County Sheriffs Office.
October 31st 1:26 a.m. Hastings officers were requested to assist South St. Paul Police Department on a traffic stop located at the intersection of South St. and 7th Ave S. Hastings officers used their K9 to sniff a vehicle.
6:51 p.m. Officers conducted a welfare check in the 100 block of 23rd Street West.
8:47 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the intersection of 160th St. and General Sieben in regards to a driving complaint. This report was generated for informational purposes. November 1st 6:22 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of 2nd Street regarding a civil assist. This case file was created for documentation purposes only.
9:52 a.m. Officers took a damage to property report in the 800 block of 9th St. W. No suspects.
1:30 p.m. Officers responded to a theft of a four wheeler in the 3500 block of Red Wing Blvd. An unknown suspect stole a four wheeler worth approximately $900.
3:14 p.m. Officers took a theft from vehicle report in the 400 block of Fredrick Cir. Non suspects.
5:02 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance in the 1300 block of Riverbluff Court. After investigation it was determined to be a falsely reported incident from an unknown out of state suspect.
5:33 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 4000 block of Martin Lane regarding a civil assist. A set of vehicle keys had gone missing after people were over at the residence.
7:33 p.m. Officers responded to the 200 block of Glenlou Way for a medical.
9:48 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of Napa Auto Parts. After investigation Kenneth Edsel Mead, 21 of Hastings, was issued a citation for no proof of insurance and driving with a suspended license.
