The City of Hastings invites all community members to take part in National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 5 joining neighbors across the country in strengthening community ties and promoting public safety.
National Night Out is a nationwide initiative that fosters partnerships between residents and public safety personnel, encouraging safer, more connected neighborhoods.
Host a Block Party
Neighborhood organizers planning to host block parties can now register online at www.hastingsmn.gov/NNO with registration closing on July 20th. The Hastings Police and Fire Departments will visit as many registered parties as possible between 5:30 and 8:00 p.m.
Community Event at Lion's Park
If your neighborhood is not hosting a party, you are invited to join the city’s National Night Out event at Lion’s Park, 1043 5th St. W., from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Enjoy a fun-filled evening featuring:
•Police and fire vehicles to explore
•Kids’ games and activities
•Community resource tables
•And more!
