Myrna Delores Aune, age 95, went to heaven on Wednesday, January 17th, 2024 in Hastings, MN.
Myrna was born December 13, 1928 to her parents, Andrew and Carine Bredeson in Hastings, ND. Myrna continued to live there until her family moved to Valley City, ND.
She later met Ronald (Babe) Aune in Valley City. They were married August 7th, 1948. Myrna and Babe were blessed with four children, Douglas, David, Mark, and Dawn. They raised their family in Valley City until Babe’s job at Peavey Mill brought them to Hastings, MN in 1964. They purchased a home in 1965 in Hastings where Myrna continued to live until her passing.
Myrna was a dedicated nurses aide at Regina Senior Living for 35 years until her retirement in 1994. Myrna’s greatest loves were her family, friends, and her faith. She attended as many of her families sporting events and other activities as she could. She loved the outdoors, especially the trips to Red Lake and the North Shore. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.
Myrna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Babe; son, Doug; brother, Mel Bredeson; sister, Cheri Peltier; and infant great-grandson, Charlie Trombley.
She is survived by her sons, David Aune, Mark (Janet) Aune; daughter, Dawn (Rich) Trombley; brother, Dennis (Kim) Bredeson; sister-in-law, Clara Bredeson; daughter-in-law, Patty (Corey) Nelson; grandchildren, Jason (Rochelle) Aune, Justin Aune (Kim), Adam (Janna) Aune, Sarah (Adam) Mann, Cody Aune, Dustin Aune (Megan), Jessica Gelhar, Tyler (Ashley) Trombley, Trevor (Meghan) Trombley, Amanda Nelson, and Matt Nelson; great-grandchildren, Emma, Stella, Jack, Pepin, Lachlan, Brooklyn, Jordan, Cohen, Calla, and Theo; great-great grandson, Gabriel; cousins, Eunice and Glenny; many nieces and nephews; as well as her cherished friends, Sharon, Jan, Joyce, Doris, and Laurie.
Special blessings to Dr. Lizbet Ronning and her staff who took great care of Myrna these last few years. Also blessings to Allina Hospice for their care and guidance.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on January, 26, 2024 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church with a visitation being held one hour prior. A reception will be held at the church following the service with burial following at Lakeside Cemetery in Hastings, MN.
